Above cobbles laid almost 200 years ago, a green-painted arch spans our brewery’s entrance. It runs from the original building, built in 1828, to the extension built 50 years later. On it are the words: Greengate Brewery. Simple and uncomplicated, the arch reminds us who we are, from the traditions to the methods. We named Greengate ale after our brewery. It’s our most down-to-earth beer, simple and uncomplicated. Manchester’s finest drink Greengate at bars across the north, pulling legs and putting the world to rights. Brewed specially for keg, it’s as smooth as northern wit.
